A walk, room by room

Before Fox on Ramstreet Ltd buys a house, we walk it in daylight. We look at the main room, a quieter room, the windows, and the way the front sits on the street. The pictures here are the sort of rooms that come up. They are not a list of homes for sale today.

The main room

We stand where people sit and look at light, marks on the ceiling, and whether the windows shut. A kitchen beyond the sofa is part of the same look: taps, the worktop edge, and any stain that is still damp.

If someone lives there, we only come at a time they have agreed.

A quieter corner

A single chair and a lamp still tell you about the wall, the floor, and the light. We are not scoring the cushions. We are deciding whether this is a house we want in our own name.

A crack, a cold corner, or a window that will not latch goes in the note we keep before we buy.

Outside, on the same visit

We look at the roof from the path, the gutter, and the step to the door. A house can be sound inside and tired outside. Both go in the note.

When one of our houses is for sale, a viewer sees the same kind of rooms, at a time we set. Write via the contact page if you want to ask about a house we own.
